Etizolam Powder: Usage and Storage

Etizolam powder tablets are basically medications containing Etizolam. Also known as Etilaam, the drug functions as an anti-depressant, sedative, and anxiolytic. The medication is widely prescribed by doctors for treating different anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety, panic attacks, and depression in adult patients.

Etizolam is particularly useful in individuals suffering from short term insomnia. The drug functions as an anti-convulsant: it keeps the skeletal muscles relaxed, thereby treating a number of serious medical conditions.  The medication is selective with a very high affinity for the alpha2 subunit of the postsynaptic GABA receptor.

What an Etizolam Powder is Used For

Etizolam is manufactured by a number of companies all over the world. The drug produced typically mimics characteristics of an anti-convulsant. Etizolam tablets are usually given via the oral route in patients suffering from serious medical conditions like that of anxiety disorders. The drug is also given for patients suffering from insomnia.

The medication is handy for treating individuals who frequently suffer from phobic neurosis and panic attacks. Tablets of Etizolam are also used for treating secondary psycho somatic illnesses. These include hypertension, headache, Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Drug Storage 

Etizolam tablet packs are typically stored at room temperature, preferably between twenty degrees Celsius and twenty-five degrees Celsius. The drug should be kept away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. It’s essential to keep the original packaging of the medication and shouldn’t be consumed after its expiration date (these are usually labelled at the back of the packaging).

Etizolam is contraindicated for patients with a medical history of Etizolam sensitivity or sensitivity to benzodiazepenes. Overdose Management

Hypotension and decreased heart rate.

Genitourinary system

Libido changes, gastrointestinal disturbances, and urinary retention.

Central nervous system

Depression, headache, confusion, drowsiness, and ataxia.
